Gen AI in the Circle: Honoring Indigenous Voices and Knowledge.




It is important for us to thoughtfully consider the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's calls to action around curriculum development. Through the increased awareness of Indigenous knowledges and cultures in post-secondary learning spaces, and the rising use of Generative AI, we see an emerging need to explore the connection between the two in a culturally appropriate manner by building safe and collaborative space for dialogue. His panel was made possible in partnership with Indigenous industry professionals who currently work with Artificial Intelligence, community members, and members of the UBC campus.
